How AI Pet Portrait Works
Upload a pet photo you have the right to use, choose a pet type and art style, then generate one to four portraits. The anonymous daily try includes one image. There is no free-text prompt or model picker.
Models behind your portraits
Powered by Google Gemini image model (Nano Banana 2.1). If it's unavailable we automatically use ByteDance Seedream 5.0 Lite.
For EvoLink requests, fallback is attempted once for eligible provider faults within the generation deadline. Safety refusals, account quota and rate limits do not trigger fallback. AIPetPortrait is an independent service; model names identify our providers and do not imply endorsement.
Preserving your companion’s identity
The server asks the model to preserve breed, body shape, coat colours and markings, fur texture, eye colour, ears, nose and distinctive features. For multiple pets, each animal should retain its own identity. AI can change details or anatomy; review each result against your original. We cannot guarantee exact likeness.
Resolution and processing time
Default generation quality is 1K for the free anonymous try and 2K for signed-in requests, including paid credits. Seedream has no 1K tier, so free requests using it are generated at 2K. These are provider quality tiers, not guaranteed exact pixel dimensions; aspect ratio and model determine the output size.
The tool shows the configured model near Generate. Generation usually takes about 40–60 seconds, but provider queues and fallback may take longer. A failed or safety-refused generation restores credits or the free attempt. Check your dashboard before retrying a request that timed out in your browser.
Your photos and safety
Uploads and results are stored privately for up to 30 days. Download images you want to keep. Photos and fixed portrait instructions are shared with our AI processing providers. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
